5 June 2019> Still selling last bits + pieces + still people promise they're coming to get stuff + never show up... it's a phenomena. It's like how people reserve 3 restraunts on the same night so they can have a choice + just blow off the others without calling to cancel. 1 woman even called us, aghast that we had the nerve to aks for a deposit or payment up front if she wanted us to hold sumping... + then never showed up. All this reconfirms that 99.999% of ppl suck. Went to the eYe dr yesterday... the last in our dental/doc, etc. appointments now that we're stateside, 'cept for an audiology test witch couldn't get scheduled for a few more weeks. Speaking of witch, saw Dead Meadow last night at Black Cat, only a block away from us which is convenient. 1st time at the new remodeled space. Opening bands (Thin Wizard + Dommengang) were 2 of the worst bands ever we've seen. Maybe it was cuz we was so sick of these opening male masturbatory jam bands, but we wasn't so impressed w/ Dead Meadow neither, much as we liked them in the past... 1 of the few decent post-Discord/Fugazi bands from D.C. And maybe it was just our ears, but the sound sucked... it was loud, just not clear.

6 June> D-day. Coincidentally the day we donated a bunch of our stuff to the vets—stuff we didn't sell at the stoop sail. Sum Italian/Argentinian women just came by for a dozen or so boxes of Italian + Spanish tiles the previous owners left in the basement crawl space... she was happy cuz she got a bunch of tiles to remodel her kitchen that probly wd of costed 100s if not 1000s + we was happy they weren't going to waste, we freed up sum storage space + got $20 for our troubles. But for every positive interaction, there's dozen of a-holes, like here's a sample interchange below... we deleted superfluis fluff but sorry, you'll still have to read bottom up to get the storyline (oh how this reverse scrolling is rewiring our brains):

If you don’t want it for $30, then stop wasting my time. I don’t care about the money, I just like dealing with decent people. And you are not.

Since you said you work in Georgetown, you can go down to Bo Concept and get one for $279. This one is identical, in good condition for 1/10th the price.

Such interaxions start to grate on your nerves + just now sum uppity Indian woman just came by for the "Parlor" table + Ethan Allen chairs (that again, the previous denizens left). She came w/ her friend + made herself at home, sitting in her prospective chair + chatting for at least a ½ an hour before finally agreeing to buy it, after going into this long exchange about karma + how beyond just recognizing a good piece of furniture she had to feel good about the transaction. This tag-a-long friend she had known in her childhood in the Philippines where they "ran thick as thieves," (at witch pt she did the double-quote thing w/ her ring-studded fingers) "as the saying goes". They hadn't seen eachother since high school but got recently reunited + in fact + this is the 1st thing they were doing together! Isn't Facebook great!? To which we said we wouldn't know. We said we'd rather keep the good memories of folks we've lost touch with, rather then being reunited + dissappointed. In any event she agreed to get the furniture. As she was going to pull her SUV up to the curb, we were carrying the chairs + table down to the sidewalk + noticed that the folded-up wad she handed us was $50, not the agreed upon $100 (to be polite we didn't count the money when she handed it to us). So we asked her did she realize she only gave us $50? + she said oh! Sorry! That she was considering another table that was $50 + got confused... honest mistake maybe, but thinking back on it now, she went thru this elaborate spiel when she handed us the cash, saying in India you had to hand + accept money w/ your right hand only + how only greedy monkeys hold 2 hands out + how holding your palm up was a sign of a lower caste... those remarks + the strange conversation about karma in transactions left me wondering, in retrospect, if it was an honest mistake or a con? U tell us, dear Inurnet.

11 June> Our bedder-½ is back in Rome but we're home alone in the doghouse on Swann St. She's on a 2-week trip thru URup... we're thinking by the time she gets back we'll have the house done. Hard to be productive tho, shoulder pain + vertigo grinding us to a halt. Can't sleep, can't get comfortable. Need to confront pain head on, not stuff 'er in a back drawer or sweep 'er under a rug. Speaking of witch, weave added a few rugs to our list of stuff we're mongering on craigslist + got a new rug cuz nun of the existing 1s was a good fit... out w/ the old + in w/ the new!

Need to abstract our pane INT.0 sum sorta small furry creature dat lives under our skin. Hay Jude. Co-ax her out. Or hell, let 'er stay, long as she don't chew wires in our attick. Our head also buzzing w/ tinnitis on top of the spinning. Taking a brake from physical lifting + mongering to get back to computer-work, wich weave bin dreading, thinking it'll only make us worse... bad ergonomics we blame for the carp in our tunnel + computers also probly wrecked our eyes. Bud yesterday we got back up + running on our mothership for the 1st time, filed away the heap of 500+ emails piling up on our laptop, from moving, mortgages, etc. Sum 1's intrested in making a movie of 1 of the Calamari books so taking a crash course in how to negotiate options + whatnot + figured hell, while we're in full-on mongering mode may as well have a "surplus select" sale to trim the Calamari inventory down to a more manageable state. So help us eaze the lode if there's any books/cassettes u bin meaning to get.
